Quote of the Week: Mieko Kamiya

What a beautiful and meaningful idea from Mieko Kamiya, Japanese Psychiatrist and the "Mother of Ikigai Psychology".

What is Ikigai?

In simple terms, whatever gives you the experience of being in a meaningful moment. Right now my Ikigai is writing this text for you to reflect about the relevance of these concepts as Mystery Performer. Then my Ikigai will be writing future projects for Mentalism Center, be in service as a psychotherapist, be ready to perform is the casual situation appears, play guitar and be with my family.

Is Mentalism your Ikigai?

I hope so, for me at least is part of my mission for sure. It doesnt matter if you are a professional or casual performer, being able to share this beautiful mental mysteries for others can be a fantastic and meaningful activity and way of being for you in service to others. Going out of your individualism, practice and rehearse with passion so you can be prepared to offer an unique moment.

Mentalism can be a fun hobby without much depth for sure, but if you are interested in explore your authenticity through this beautiful art, welcome to the exploration!

That is why we offer much more than tricks and cool props. They are fun toys for sure, but the true richness of Mystery Performance is not about What we do but How and Why. Thats the true space in which you will learn the essential and fundamental principles. If you are open to those secrets, you can still do cool tricks and use that ultimate prop, but you will not need that in order to offer your best and create meaningful mysteries.
