Quote of the Week: Richard Osterlind

Richard in his fantastic work called "Words" states this fundamental insight that we need to integrate as part of our understanding. Nowadays seems like Mentalism is all about the ultimate app, the latest electronic device and the coolest billet trick. Dont get me wrong, creative advancements are alway cool, but language is our essential tool.

Kenton, Richard, myself and many others have found this essential principle, and you can too. Today choose a piece from your repertoire that you love and re-observe it through this lens.  Re-work your script, design powerful psychological lines and learn how to say them with meaning and presence.

Words are not just sounds but vibrations, magical spaces of influence that you can use. As babies we learn how to speak as pragmatic way of connection, but as Mentalists we need to re-learn how to speak as practical space of true influence.

If you are interested in deeper explorations about this, I can suggest you my work from "Symbolic Artifacts",  "The Path of Mystery" and "Scripting for Mystery Performers"

Thanks Richard for your inspiration!
