Quote of the Week: Theodore Annemann

Our grandfather in Mentalism was a pioneer in our modern understanding of Mentalism. Simple and direct, no extra unneeded stuff, clever techniques and most importantly, a powerful attitude rooted in excellence and love to the craft.

This quote from Ted comes from "The Omega Card Act", a fundamental principle from his creative work. You can use as little as possible and create wonderful mysteries.

Mentalism needs to be feel like a real fiction, not just a fantastic one. We can use some interesting props from time to time for sure, but dont let that steal the attention from the true meaning of the experience.

If you know my work you know that I love "Minimal Mentalism" for this same reason. It is cool to have the latest electronic gizmo and the gimmicked whatever but you really dont need them. You want them, but you dont need those objects.

If you want to learn more about the attitude of the Minimal Performer you can check our "Minimal Mentalist" Videocourse

Thanks Theo for your perennial wisdom
