Quote of the Week: Jerry Andrus

Jerry Andrus is a beautiful and deep inspiration. I love his own approach to magic (I dont perform his pieces) but from my beginnings I found in his philosophy and understanding of wonder a powerful space of expansion.

An innovator not just in magic and optical illusions but also poetry and music, his legacy offers us a fantastic and different point of view about the mystery of man and life.

Are you aware of your active participation into the wonder of life?

The action of being a Mystery Performer is a constant potential of understanding your being in itself as part of Mystery. Our actions are genuine only if we truly embrace our nature of mysterious beings.

For some people the notion of mystery means anxiety, fear and uncertainty, and for sure those are the initial experiences. Awe is fearful admiration, surprising reverence. Beyond the fear, we will find a sacred space of sublime attraction. Not knowing becomes a natural space of existence, being itself becomes a letting go and unlearning experience.

All this is not coming simply from philosophy itself or even someone. Just observe the phenomena of being right now. Every moment is an experimentation of these mysteries, just be here and now and wander in wonder.

Thanks Jerry for your incredible reminders.
