The fabulous monster Max Maven, in this interview, shares an essential reflection for anyone seeking to grow as a Mystery Performer. If you are only inspired by Magic and Mentalism, you are missing the full potential of your authenticity.
Recently, a student in our Mentalism Course told me that he didn’t feel creative at all, which is a limiting belief to hold. Sure, if you compare yourself to other creatives, you may enter a mindset of lack. But if you re-learn what creativity truly is, you will realize that being creative is part of being human, and everything we do is creative by nature.
What are your interests?
What is the “One Idea” you want to communicate through your performance?
Which other arts do you enjoy?
You are one step away from discovering your creative potential as a Mystery Performer. Go beyond our literature and expand your possibilities. Personally, I love all aspects of human gnosis (science, art, mysticism, and philosophy) and all of them influence my explorations. Be sure to open your mind to new forms of expression and reconnect with your creative potential.
