Recently, someone asked if in Minimal EDC Act I just shared tricks or an act.
It is neither.
In this project, I invite you into an experience of creative freedom. You will choose how to structure these ideas as soon as we learn what an "act" actually is.
Obviously, I can’t go as deep here as I do in my published work. In the future, I’ll release a video course on this, but for now, I can give you some basic pointers.
An act is not just a mixture of effects without any narrative. An act needs to feel like one experience composed of many moments. In the same way that in a musical concert there are specific moments with different feelings, melodies, harmonies, tempo, and rhythm, in Mentalism we can design the experience with different images, sensations, and dynamics.
I have seen living legends performing, and they had an act. An unified whole that is shared in performance, using pieces as metaphors.
Sometimes, the title of the show offers a basic understanding of the experience. For example, if you learn my "Intuitive Mysteries Act," I invite people into a live performance of the power of intuition. That's it.
Yes, it is simple, but this is just the beginning. Creating an act is a task of self-knowledge. That's why I simply can't cover everything in a short post or in content like this one.
Let me know if you are interested in this topic, and I can explore it further, sharing my experience and ideas about this fascinating possibility.
Most people learn just tricks. Some create personal routines. But creating an act demands deeper reflection and authenticity.
